BMX Freestyle is a sport full of exciting, original and creative tricks.

It originates from the race culture of California from the mid 70s thanks to kids inspired by motocross pilots, they started to imitate their bike tricks that they performed in the air. Ever since, it has evolved until it turned to a popular sport thanks to the television coverage it has, which has given it the recognition it deserves in the whole world thanks to World Championships, which are played yearly.

In the XII South American Games Asuncion, the participants will compete in park discipline, consisting in forming trick in a park formed by a number of ramps and other obstacles, made of cement or wood, forming “lines” from one to another with a certain flow in obstacles such as walls, boxes and columns in 60 seconds. The South American riders will exhibit their best skills and acrobatic tricks in this incredible competition.

The scoring will be done based on different aspects, including: Difficulty, originality, execution, height reached and creativity.

Incredible tricks are exhibited in this sport, such as backflips, tailwhips, barspins and the superman, which will make this sport very exciting to watch.
